Future-Proof Your Career: Bill Gates Reveals 3 Industries Where Humans Will Always Outshine AI

In recent years generative AI has grown and shows no signs of slowing down. Bill Gates shared his views on how this technology might change the future of work during a podcast with Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath. Gates believes AI will take over most human jobs in the coming years. However, he pointed out three professions that are likely to stay human-dominated. These jobs are: biologists, energy experts, and coders.

Bill Gates thinks these areas are too complex and ever-changing to run on autopilot. “These are areas that still need human insight, adaptability, and new ideas,” he said. When Bill Gates says something like this, it matters. Because these jobs need accuracy and deep knowledge of the field, AI won’t have an impact on them for some time. He also suggested that AI and robots will take over many other office and manual labor jobs.

Before, Gates mentioned that although AI might take over most jobs, nobody would want to watch computers play baseball. He stressed that AI’s expansion could pave the way for a future where people are free to focus on what matters most to them.

He had also earlier predicted what might happen in the next 20 years. He said that the usual capitalist work setup might become old news. He thinks AI could fix major shortages in areas like medicine and education giving people more freedom and even shorter work weeks. Gates has said before that AI could help societies move to a 2 or 3-day work week in the coming decade.

The rapid progress and spread of AI have sparked plenty of worries among experts, but Gates stays upbeat. He believes the upcoming shifts will be good for humanity overall. This technology will help build a world where people have to work less and enjoy more free time.
